abstract = "The article tackles the issue of how Russian national cuisine is perceived by foreigners. It compares Russians’ beliefs about their own national cuisine with foreigners’ observations about it and some encyclopedic facts about a number of “traditional” Russian dishes. As a research method, the cross-cultural comparison is used.
